The DHA source used in Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is Crypthecodinium Cohnii Oil (DHASCO), also known as DHA algae oil. Algae DHA is the most widely used source of DHA in baby formula. It is a safe, vegetarian source of DHA and has a similar bioavailability compared to fish DHA. We do not use DHA from eggs or fish. Both of these sources are considered major allergens and would not be suitable for infants with egg or fish allergies, and can alter the taste of a product.
